Workflows and decision processes of the avalanche commission got social-scientifically analyzed within the framework of ALARM 1. The results are the basis for the development of new training concepts and didactic modules. Aim is to strengthen the ability to withstand stress and boost the performance of the avalanche commission. In cooperation with the federal states Carinthia, Lower Austria and Styria as well as the Austrian Federal Railway (ÖBB) the following topics are in the center of attention: emergency plans and stress management in disaster situations, teambuilding and conflict management as well as interface communication between authorities, neighboring commissions and the population.
