New project: DRYADS
by Isabel Anger
We are pleased to be able to participate in another great project with numerous project partners: The EU project DRYADS is dedicated to the development of a holistic forest fire fighting platform that includes all three phases of forest fire management - prevention, fighting, renaturation.
A large number of technological solutions are being developed for each of the three areas, ranging from the development and use of various UAVs, the use of VR for training measures to social media analysis, and the development of fireproof material for house construction.
At the heart of the project are the eight pilot regions in which the various solutions will be tested. There will also be a case study in Austria with the scenario of a peri-urban forest fire.
The DCNA is involved in the Austrian pilot study as well as in the dissemination and awareness-raising of the project results.
